2010 Season Host - Verena Sonstenes
Verena’s riding career began in Germany in
1987 at the age of 5, when she started vaulting on a
gentle Palomino that was owned by a family friend. This
taught her the importance of balance and coordination,
and opened the door to what Verena would later learn to
be Dressage.
In 2006, Verena accepted a sponsorship by HS Dutch
Horses, Inc. and relocated to Redlands, CA. in September
of the same year to help build an Olympic-level training
facility as chief trainer and facility manager.
Verena currently trains students up to Grand Prix level
and competes for VS Dressage Inc. in Hidden Valley, CA,
where she has been since August 2009. |

Colleen Burman:
Creek Hollow Ranch has emerged
from the blending of Colleen’s 10 years of classical
ballet training and careers in biochemistry and holistic
health, as the vehicle where her art and science
interests could unite. Her purpose is to create a unique
place where the horse rider partnership can be explored,
enriching both. The challenge; mental, physical and
spiritual, of the eternal pursuit to improve her riding
and become a better partner for her horse, has been a
major source of her personal development. She hopes to
share with you the passion that has ignited so many,
like herself, to walk their journey with horses. |
